Peter Ness - Chairman

I have been a Board Member of Central Sires since December 2013 and for the past 5 years have held the position of Chairman.

My family have farmed at Mount Compass since 1956 and owned and operated the Nyowee Jersey Stud since 1974.

I have also served on the Jersey Australia Board for 10 years and was President for 4years.

For my contribution to the Jersey Breed I have been awarded Life Membership of Jersey Australia.

Rebecca joined the CSC board at the 28th AGM (delayed until 2021). With 10 years in the dairy industry initially in feed & fertiliser sales before moving to relief milking then as full time farm staff. Along with a passsion for the jersey cow she has a Bachelor of Business & a Cert III in Agriculture

Don Ross - Treasurer

Donald joined the board of Central Sires in 2016 and currently holds the role as Treasurer.

Tanya Privitera - Board Member

Tanya joined the board of Central Sires in 2022, this is her first position on a board and she is excited to learn the ropes. Tanya helps her parents run their ‘Inverlair Heights Jersey’ stud in Mardan, Victoria.

She has been on several committees over the years and was President and Secretary of South Gippsland Jersey Club as well as the Rural Ambassador and Dairy Committee at the Royal Melbourne Show.

Tanya won the Victorian Rural Ambassador competition and the Semex / HFAA fellowship to North America and is very passionate about giving back to the industry she loves. Tanya has 2 kids, her son Levi loves working on the farm and her daughter Ava who loves dancing.

Andrew Younger - Board Member

Bred stud jerseys for 40 years. Strong believer in the importance of cow families in pedigrees. Dip app sci ( Ag)

Andrew has been involved with jerseys at all levels from cattle clubs through to state and federal board.

Aaron Thomas - Board Member

Aaron joined the Board at the 30th AGM in November; Aaron has been the Farm Manager at Gelbeado Park for 16yrs the Home of “CSC Woodside” He has a great passion for the dairy Industry and the Jersey Breed. He has served as President At South Gippsland Jersey Breeders Club, Vice Chairman At Yarram Herd Services for 3 yrs and Director for 4yrs, a role that he has Retired from. He Is Region 5 Policy Counselor for UDV.

Aaron is a Father to 2 Girls Lexi and Evie. He is looking forward to the role on CSC and the future of the business.
